Usually the weekend means a chance to sleep in late but not for my family. Yesterday, we got up early and set off to go Pumpkin Picking. The drive there and back was filled with the most beautiful pictures Mother Nature herself had painted. The trees were beginning to change their colors, the pumpkins were ready to be picked, and the clouds that hovered the morning skies disappeared to reveal blue skies in the early afternoon. We ate freshly popped popcorn waiting on-line for the hayride, gathered our pumpkins, ran through the corn maze, jumped off hay bails, and fed some farm animals. It was a great day to be outdoors with the family. There were smiles galore and the sound of laughter lingered in the air long after we said our goodbyes… until next year… when we will do it all again 🙂
