I am so happy that we are starting to get warmer temperatures and can enjoy the outdoors. One of the things that is very important to me is finding time to spend in nature. There is nothing more peaceful or relaxing than walking in the park, taking a canoe ride on a lake, visiting beautiful waterfalls, or watching the sunset. My husband is an outdoors guy and he introduced me to hiking and other outdoor activities. I am grateful to him for opening my eyes to the wonders of nature. One of the things that I like to do when I find a peaceful place is to close my eyes for a minute and listen. There is an inner peace found in that moment of just relaxing the mind and being at one with the sound of nature. The pictures above are peaceful places my family and I have visited. I encourage you to take time to spend outdoors this Spring and Summer. Enjoy nature and all its beauty. Remember to take a minute, close your eyes, and just listen. Then open your eyes and take in the glorious sights before you. I promise you will feel refreshed and at peace.

Oh, I couldn’t agree with you more! I love spending time in nature, and feel a greater connection with everything when I do. My husband and I have a dear friend who got us into hiking and backpacking years ago. Love it. Thanks for the great reminder to get outdoors, especially now that things are slowly turning green and smelling like spring! 🙂

You’re welcome Christine. Glad to hear that you love the outdoors too!
We should all take time to relax and enjoy being outdoors. Sometimes we get so busy with life that we forget to stop and enjoy the beauty around us.
So true Brenda! Now that the weather is getting better, I am looking forward to more evening walks and bike rides with my family 🙂
Thank you for your amazing photographs. The ocean and nature allowed us to see the gifts of beauty for the wise in vision and in heart.
Thanks John! I love the ocean and could sit there for hours just listening to the sounds of the waves and seagulls. Being outdoors in nature is wonderful if we allow ourselves time to take in all our surroundings. Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂
