Charming Kinsale, Co. Cork, Ireland

Kinsale blog

As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, I have been reflecting on the beauty of my homeland. Over the next few days I am going to share with you some of my favorite pictures taken in Ireland. Pictures usually awaken a lot of memories so I am sure I will have some stories to share too! This picture was taken at Charles Fort in a lovely seaside town called Kinsale which is located in County Cork. I can remember my granddad driving on the back roads to Kinsale and the view along the way consisted of cows, sheep, beautiful green grass that seemed to continue forever, and Celtic music playing on the radio. Growing up my parents didn’t have a car so when my granddad took us for a spin it was the highlight of our week. Those were simple days with simple pleasures. So come along on this ride through Ireland with me over the next few days… beep, beep πŸ™‚

I wish I knew where in County Cork my great grandparents lived. All I know is they left from Bantry Bay to come to the U.S. I will wait in anticipation of all of your photos this coming week!!
